Brazil coach Tite has named his final 26-man squad for the 2022 Qatar FIFA World, with Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino a notable absentee.

Other noteworthy absentees are Premier League duo of Philippe Coutinho of Aston Villa, who is dealing with an injury, and Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães.

Former Barcelona defender Dani Alves, 39, is a surprising inclusion, while Arsenal duo of Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus are also in the squad after missing out on Brazil’s squad in September.

The seleção are one of the favourites to lift the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the Gulf region.

The tournament is set to resume on November 20, 2022, and end on December 18, 2022.
