England has named their final 26-man squad for the upcoming Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held between November 20 and December 18.

Ivan Toney, Jarrod Bowen and Fikayo Tomori are among the key players left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Kyle Walker has been passed fit while in-form Newcastle striker Callum Wilson gets a first call-up since 2019.

Maddison will represent his country in Qatar, the 25-year-old has one cap to his name. He has scored six goals in 12 Premier League games this season.

Another notable addition is Chelsea midfielder Gallagher. Despite playing often for the Blues this season and having four caps to his record, the 21-year-old was not expected to be included in the team. James Ward-Prowse, the captain of Southampton, appears to have been passed over for him.
