Karim Benzema has been named to the France team by coach Didier Deschamps for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, despite injury concerns.

Additionally included are well-known stars like Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe. Oliver Giroud, an AC Milan striker, was also included due to his recent performances.

In order to defend the crown they won in Russia four years ago, Jules Kounde and Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona are also among those called up.

Important players like Mike Maignan of AC Milan and N’Golo Kante will also be sidelined by injuries, although Raphael Varane of Manchester United has been chosen despite suffering a knee injury in October.
