Brogya Whips Pablo in his own E/R Backyard as Mahama Camp Leads Brogya Charge

The battle for the youth leadership of the Opposition National Democratic Congress is becoming keener with Brogya Genfi set to unseat incumbent George Opare Addo Pablo who is accused of being weak and absent from duty when most needed.

George Opare Addo also known as Pablo who is a 2 -term youth leader has also been serially accused of working against the interest of NDC’s flagbearer designate, John Mahama and is “not trusted at all by the old man”, a source told this portal.

In the just-ended regional youth elections, George Opare Addo who hails from the Eastern Region with Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, failed to get his candidate to win the region, one Emmanuel Okai Mintah, rather Brogya Genfi won, albeit with a slim margin.

The influence of Sammy Gyamfi and Samuel Nartey George from the John Mahama camp is said to have weighed heavily in tilting the scales towards Brogya Genfi.

Brogya is said to be the firebrand the NDC youth wing needs going into the next election.

Sources told this portal the NDC could have won the previous 2020 election if the party had a fired Youth Wing.

“Under Opare Addo, we only see a youth leader “pretending” to be working. He lives in the US with his wife and kids and comes down once in a while and organizes one program. Then he will pay boys to make noise about the program on social media and he runs away again to the US for many months”.

“Opare Addo launched something he called the TEIN App, it is now dead. You can go and ask around with your recorders on campus. No substance”, source added.

Asked about demonstrations organized by Mr. Opare Addo last year to show a vibrant NDC youth front, the source said “it was a useless gimmick”.

Source said the “gimmick was meant to enhance his (Pablo’s) re-election chances against Brogya who is considered strong, healthy and energetic fire. In any case, Pablo didn’t organize any demo against the government when Akufo-Addo was seeking re-election is it after he has won in 2021 that your demo will make any impact?”

“Most of the Demos you see him in front, he didn’t contribute anything to the organization. Even the last one. He only comes to join and pretend he was instrumental but nothing”.

So far National Communications Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi and Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram Sam George have openly declared support for Brogya Genfi to lead the youth wing.

Mr. Gyamfi was active on the ground during the party’s just-ended regional youth elections to canvass votes for Brogya Genfi.
