Information gathered by our team indicate that things are not going too well at the Portuguese training camp in Doha, Qatar.

According to Marca news paper, around 100 journalists flocked to Portugal’s first training session, eager to get information from Cristiano Ronaldo, who criticized his club team Manchester United in an interview with Piers Morgan.

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive interview has shattered the peace in Portugal’s training camp. On the first day of training, chaos reigned at the Shahaniya Sports Center. A hundred journalists from all over the world wanted to participate in the events scheduled by Portugal, but some of them did not manage to enter. The access request had to be completed at least 24 hours in advance.

The security service provided by the organizers of the World Cup was completely overwhelmed by the large number of media representatives who wanted to enter the training camp. They were Japanese, English, Spanish, English and Portuguese. It was a kind of circus.

Some Portuguese journalists stayed outside the training base and recognized the evidence: ‘Everything happens because of Cristiano Ronaldo. That interview…’. Others said the increased attention given to Fernando Santos’ team will not bode well.

Bernardo Silva appeared at the press conference, but more than half of the questions were about Cristiano Ronaldo. The reply was: ‘The information coming from England has nothing to do with the Portugal team. It doesn’t affect me, it targets Cristiano Ronaldo’.

In training, Cristiano Ronaldo interacted the most with Pepe. Subsequently, Cristiano and Bruno Fernandes were split by Fernando Santos in the three training sessions, each at one end of the pitch.” Javier Estepa, the Marca journalist based in Qatar, said.
