Ghanaians know my brother is good but they just won’t admit it – Andre Ayew

Ghana captain Andre Ayew says people always want to talk bad about his junior brother, Jordan Ayew.

He said this after the Crystal Palace man put up a galant display when the Black Stars beat South Korea 3-2 on Monday at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Jordan was heavily involved in Ghana’s first and second goals, and generally played an outstanding game.

“It’s not the first time [that Jordan has played well]… I think he’s just someone that people just want to speak bad about but in their hearts know the kind of quality that he is,” Andre Ayew said after the game against South Korea.

Jordan Ayew received wide criticism on social media after making mistakes that led to the Black Stars conceding twice against Portugal.

The 31-year-old was then praised again for his enormous performance against the South Koreans as the Black Stars prepare for a crucial encounter against Uruguay on Friday.
