Black Stars player Kudus Mohammed has said that the Black Stars take responsibility for disappointing Ghana at the Qatar 2022 World Cup Finals. He added that they have however taken the positive aspects of their disappointment to grow.

In a post on social media, Kudus, who received much praise for his performance in the tournament, noted that the team painted an unpleasant picture by their disappointing performance. He is however hopeful that the fortunes of the Black Stars will improve with time and purposefulness.

“A team is like a puzzle, every jigsaw piece is important to solve a problem or complete a picture. When 🇬🇭 needed us the most, collectively by our arts we painted an unpleasant picture souring 12 years of pain.

As a team we take responsibility for letting Ghana down but we pick the positives to grow. History has proven that the most valuable arts came from good to great with time & purpose,” he stated.

He concluded by expressing gratitude to Ghanaians for the support he got throughout the tournament.

“Thank you for the love & support Ghana,”

Mohammed Kudus scored two goals in the Group Stages of the competition but Ghana crashed out after failing to secure a draw or beat Uruguay in their final group game.

The team has been met with criticism for failing to progress beyond the group stages.
