Ghanaian striker, Asamoah Gyan has stated that the legendary Abedi Ayew Pele happens to be one of the major reasons why he accepted to join top-class football club Al-Ain.

According to Gyan, he was still in the process of thinking about how he would consent to the deal between him and the Arabian club when Abedi called him to speak to him about the offer.

Adding to this, he said Abedi Pele’s called right after he was approached by the Arabian and inferring from the advise he gave him, he felt he was in safe hands moving to play for the club.
