Information gathered by ghlatest.net indicates the Ghana Education Service (GES) has sent out a reminder notice to all heads of schools not to repeat JHS 2 students amidst the onset of the 2023 academic year.

Currently, the last batch of students doing the old curriculum dubbed the Objective Base Curriculum to write their BECE this year to make way for the Common Core Curriculum Program which was recently introduced by the Ghana Education Service.

This newly introduced Curriculum Program has been carefully designed to equip learners in JHS 1 to SHS 1 with a holistic approach to learning in order to get well prepared for post secondary education and the actual world of work.

In agreement with the aforementioned educational structure, the current JHS 2 students will be the first batch to write BECE in 2024 using the Standard Base Curriculum.
