John Mahama Finally Speaks About Ghana’s Debt Restructuring Programme; This Is What He Had To Say

The former President of Ghana, Mr. John Dramani Mahama has come out to state that he is not against the state’s debt restructuring in anyway.

However, he doesn’t agree with the government’s decision of government to pass behind domestic debt holders in its debt restructuring procedure.

According to Mr. Mahama, the state needs to have a nationwide dialogue for each and everyone in order for every individual to have a fair understanding about the state of the economy at the moment.

Adding to this, he revealed that he was ignored when he advocated for the government to engage domestic bond holders in broad before taking any decision on the debt restructuring program.
