The National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi has appealed to the ministerial appointment committee to remove Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah with immediate effect.

In a recent press conference monitored by ghlatest.net, he made it clear that the Ministry of Information’s inability to manage Covid-19 monies given to them renders Oppong Nkrumah unfit to continue to stay in his position as Minister.

Mr. Sammy Gyamfi claims that, senior management and auxiliary employees at the Ministry of Information paid themselves Ghc151,000 per the recent report released by the Auditor-General on Covid-19 expenditure.

Adding to this, Sammy Gyamfi said there was another payment Ghc 811,800 in allowances paid to workers of the Ministry without any proper documentation backing it.
