2022 CHAN: Madagascar Finally Equals Nigeria’s Record; See What Record It Is

It took an unanticipated 90th minute goal to separate the Madagascar local team from Niger Republic after a keenly contested third place match played during the just ended African Nations Championship.

A last minute goal from a Madagascan attacker, Jean Razafindrakoto have the debutants the opportunity to snatch a late winner at the competition final set of matches.

The recent Bronze medal won by Madagascar makes them the second country aside Nigeria to win a bronze medal as first timers of the National Championship.

The last time the Nigerian local team won it, they were able to steer pass the Zimbabwean national team by a similar goal margin.
