Breaking News: Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘involved in car accident

Arnold Schwarzenegger was reportedly involved in a car accident that took place in West Los Angeles  on Sunday morning.

According to TMZ, the 75-year-old actor was driving around the city when a bicyclist ‘suddenly swerved into his lane and made contact’ with his car before he had a chance to slow down.

The accident was confirmed by three witnesses, and the Terminator franchise star -who recently spent time with his native Austria – spoke to a group of police officers who asked for further details regarding the accident.

Following the crash, the actor took the bicycle involved to a local bike shop for repairs.

An investigation into the accident has been launched, although it has reportedly been determined that the former governor of California could not have done anything to avoid being hit.

The Conan the Barbarian star is an avid bicyclist and is often seen riding around in the Los Angeles area.

Schwarzenegger was previously involved in a multi-car accident that took place in Brentwood last January.

According to TMZ, the performer was driving his GMC Yukon when he collided with a Toyota Prius that subsequently continued to roll into a Porsche Taycan.

The driver of the Prius was taken to a hospital by ambulance after it was found that she was bleeding heavily from her head.

No arrests were made at the scene of the accident, and neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected to have been factors.

Law enforcement sources later told the media outlet that it appeared that Schwarzenegger was at fault and that he had made an illegal left turn, causing the accident.

A representative for the actor later spoke to People and expressed that he had not been hurt in the incident.

They added that, at the time, the performer’s ‘only concern…is for the woman who was injured.’
