The Director General of the Ghana Education Service, Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwah has reported that he has been denied access to the official automated school placement site which he initially had access to.

According to Prof. Kwasi Opoku-Amankwah, in line with the numerous cases associated with fraudulent activities pertaining to the placement system in Ghana, he was offered access to the site alongside the Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum.

However, he has suddenly realized he has been denied access to the site, leaving only the Education Minister the ability to access the portal.

In addition to this, he alleged that an amount of Ghc7,000 has purportedly been credited to the account of the Education Minister for the payment of placement for Achimota School and Wesley Girls High School.

In relation to this recent inquiry, the GES Director General made claims that later, his authorization to the log port on the placement system was restricted and afterwards he has been able to track and act on complaints that came in subsequently.
