Christian Atsu’s Uncle Finally Explains Why Player’s Wife Is Still Not In Ghana; This Is What He Had To Say

The uncle of departed Hatayaspor footballer, Christian Atsu has come out to explain why his wife has still not set foot in Ghana despite the fact that his husband remains have been brought long ago.

In line with customary funeral rites made by the wife of the dead, it is expected that Marie-Claire Rupio, the wife comes to Ghana to receive visitors and do the needful for the sake of Ghanaian tradition.

Divergent to this fact, the player’s wife is still absent and hasn’t been identified in any of her husband’s family meetings after his remains were transported to Ghana.

It’s in view of this unusual situation that the uncle of Christian Atsu has stated that, the wife of their beloved has requested on coming down to mourn.

However, they personally took the decision to allow her stay in the United Kingdom where she is currently based until the final date for the funeral of her husband is set.
