Former President John Dramani has said with the current economic crisis and the state of the country now, Ghana needs an experienced leader to turn around her economic crises.

Mr Mahama said he would not sit aside anymore and offer solutions that are ignored by the handlers of the economy.

He says he would get involve and put himself out for elections to lead the country again.

In his view “at this stage, Ghana demands experience not experiment,” he noted, stressing “Ghana does not need a try me too leader.”

He said he has done it before and has the experience and technical-knowhow to get the country out of the economic mess caused by President Akufo-Addo and his cousin the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.

Mr Mahama said these in the Volta Region today, Thursday, 2 March 2023, when he launched his campaign to become flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Apart from Mr Mahama, all others with Presidential ambitions have no experience as President.

Mr Mahama is the only candidate who has been president before and he considers it as an advantage over his competitors.
