Otumfour Finally Explains How His Uncle Gifted Him Land For The Construction Of The Kumasi Central Mosque; This Is What He Had To Say

Traditional ruler of the Ashanti kingdom Otumfour Nana Osei Tutu II has come out to give a historical account on the acquisition of the land being used to build the Kumasi Central Mosque.

While addressing those present at the renovated facility, he recounted how it took his uncle Otumfour Sir Osei Agyemang Prempeh II to consider the plight of the fast rising Muslim population in order to address their concerns.

Narrating further, he said the only Mosque that existed at that time had surpassed the ability to contain the growing Muslim population and worshippers were made to align outside the Mosque when the Otumfour who ruled at that time was driven by.

Furthermore, he said the history of the Kumasi Central Mosque is one indigenous information that underscores the empathy between the Golden Stool and the Muslim community.
