Thomas Partey has paid tribute to his late compatriot, Christian Atsu following the one-week celebration of the late footballer.

Thomas Partey scored a fantastic goal for Arsenal against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

His tribute goal for Christian Atsu came on the 62nd minute of the game, after Arsenal had fallen behind to Bournemouth (0-2) thanks to goals from “P. Billing” and “M. Senesi” on the 1st and 57th minutes, respectively.

After a frustrating spell on the sidelines due to a high injury, the Ghana international made a positive impact on his return to the Arsenal squad.

His return from injury, however, earned him a goal to pay tribute to late Christian, whose one-week celebration ended today in Accra.

The one-week Atsu Celebration, held at Ajiringanor Astro Turf in Accra drew a large number of football players and celebrities to show their support for the bereaved family.

During the one-week ceremony, the family also announced the final funeral date that will be held at forecourt of the State House in Accra on March 17.
