Information gathered by ghlatest.net indicates prospective Ghanaian pilgrims who will be visiting Mecca will be made to pay $6,500, an amount equivalent to Ghc75,000.

According to the Ghana Hajj Board, the equivalence of the aforementioned amount in dollars to cedi will remain in force till the end of the month of March, 2023.

However, it may be reviewed afterwards, based on the prevailing exchange rate of the dollar after March, 2023.

In a recent press release endorsed by the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Hajj Board, Alhaji Farouk Hamza together with the Chairman of the Board, Ben Abdallah Banda, it was stated clearly that prospective pilgrims should endeavor to make payment as early as possible using any of the Accredited Hajj Agents Nationwide to ensure their slots are secured.
