GMA Posts Flash Flood Alert As Heavy Rains Hit Accra

During the early hours of Tuesday, 7 March, 2023, the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) posted an update on the weather explaining why parts of the country are expected to experience extremely heavy rainfalls.

The storm alerted stated that a major part of southeastern Ghana has been engulfed by a rain bearing huge clouds and producing rain of diverse intensity within the Volta region.

According to the storm alert, areas within the Greater Accra and Eastern region will be affected first before drifting to the Central parts, Western and Ashanti region of the country.

The Tweet shared by the Agency went on to state that the rain is likely to flash floods in certain parts of the Greater Accra region hence precautions should be taken by citizens.
