Just In: Chris Houghton Rejects GFA’s 1-Year Contract Offer For Black Stars Coaching Job – Reports



Information gathered by indicates Ghana’s newly appointed head coach, Chris Houghton has reportedly turned down a one-year contract offer made by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to reports from a well-known radio station based in the Greater Accra region, Coach Chris Houghton has been offered a one-year deal which he has consciously rejected.

The reports further indicated that, the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager is demanding for a three-year contract instead of the one-year deal the GFA is proposing.

Per the yet-to-be unveiled Black Stars coach, the three-year contract will offer him the opportunity to build a team that is capable of winning trophies for the country in the forthcoming months that he will be handling the team.
