Here Is How Much Ghanaians Will Pay If Road And Bridge Tolls Are Reintroduced

An official proposal has been made by the Ministry Of Finance in line with the reintroduction of road and bridge tolls, an already existing payment that was scrapped a few months ago.

In a recent statement sighted by ghlatest.net, the Ministry of Finance stated that the reintroduction of payment of road and bridge tolls is based on Section 6 of Act 1080.

According to the Finance Minister, this Act gives the minister the chance to ammend its schedules to either integrate or exempt MDAs or adjust the fees and charges collected by MDAs for their services through a legislative instrument where necessary.

Adding to this, the specified payment road users are expected to make in line with the reintroduction indicated that, motorbike users will be made to pay 50 pesewas while normal cars pay Gh1.

However, heavy goods trucks that have either five or more axles are expected to a fee of Ghc3.50p.
