Dede Ayew Shifts Focus To International Duty As Black Stars Prepare For Ninth Straight AfCON Qualification

Information gathered by ghlatest indicates Black Stars current captain, Andre Dede Ayew has temporarily shifted his focus to international duty as the senior national team of Ghana prepares for a double-header AfCON qualifiers against Angola.

The illustrious Ghanaian player who made his full debut in Friday’s game between Nottingham and Newcastle, has now switched his attention to helping his national side secure a ninth consecutive qualification ahead of the continental tournament.

The Black Stars will face Angola in a double header AfCON qualification fixture with the first leg to be hosted by Ghana at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday 23 March, 2023.

Currently, Ghana sits on top of their qualification group with four points gathered after playing two of their qualification matches last year while Angola sit right behind them in second position in a bid to either surpass them or qualify for the upcoming AfCON tournament as the best performing runner up.
