Kejetia Market Fire: Police To Haunt For Managers Over Negligence

Information gathered by ghlatest.net indicates a senior lecturer at the Marketing Department of the Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Collins Kwarteng has requested for immediate arrest of managers of the new Kejetia Market in the Kumasi Metropolis.

This request follows revelations indicating the fire certificate and insurance and on the market facility had expired for more than a year now without renewal.

It has been reported that traders at the Kejetia Market on Wednesday witnessed a devastating fire outbreak that destroyed more than 50 shops and wares worth millions of cedis.

Eventually, it came out that insurance policy and fire certificate on the facility were not as active because its expiration was long overdue.
