Chris Houghton Finally Explains Why Dede Ayew Was Benched During Ghana-Angola Clash

Newly appointed Black Stars coach, Chris Houghton has finally come out to explain why he failed to enlist the captain of the team for the first eleven man squad in yesterday’s AfCON qualifiers against Angola.

In a recent presser monitored by ghlatest.net, the former Everton manager said he felt the player wasn’t the only benched during the game hence it’s no big deal.

According to Chris Houghton, benching him is nothing to talk about because there were some equally good players who stayed as substitutes throughout the game.

Adding to this, he revealed that if the technicality of the game doesn’t demand his expertise, he doesn’t see any reason why he should be brought on and it’s not a new thing because that he didn’t stay as a substitute alone.
