Chris Houghton Explains Why Thomas Partey Was Benched During Ghana’s Second Leg Match Against Angola

Current Black Stars coach, Chris Houghton has come out to explain why Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey was benched during Ghana’s game against Angola in Luanda.

According to Houghton, the player had petty injury issues hence it was advisable that he placed him as a substitute for the crunchy game despite his relevance.

Adding to this, he said though the injury wasn’t that serious an issue, he felt it was necessary that he stays off the pitch because they can’t risk losing him at such a crucial time.
