The Electricity Company Of Ghana (ECG) in partnership with GRIDCO has issued a joint statement confirming that there will be maintenance works at the GPP and this will affect the gas supply needed for the generation of power.

The recently released statement indicates that this maintenance work will result in a 150-megawatt shortfall in the rate of power generation, which means power will have to be rationed at all cost.

In addition to this, the two state power generating companies stated a timetable for the interruption of power supply will be released by today, March 31 2023.

In this regard, the electricity company made it clear that there will be minimal interruption in power supply to some of its customers which will be communicated appropriately with the release of timetable to inform customers accordingly.
