Police Officer Killed In A Shootout With Diesel Thieves

Information gathered by ghlatest.net indicates a police officer has been shot dead while on duty after trying to apprehend suspects believed to have stolen diesel.

Reports Indicate Criminal Intelligence Middleburg had a tip off concerning the theft of diesel at a mine situated near the N4 on Monday, 3 April, 2023

The suspects believed to have stolen the diesel drove together in the state vehicle, white Toyota Hilux double cab using the Stoffburg road as indicated by sources.

It is alleged that three male persons alighte from the truck and started shooting at the officer resulting in the death of the officer.
