Countryman Songo Ropes Akwasi Appiah Into Dede Ayew Benching Saga

Controversial Ghanaian sports analyst, Patrick Osei Agyemang popularly known as Countryman Songo has alleged that Black Stars captian, Andre Dede Ayew is being victimized because of the views he expressed ahead of the appointment of Black Stars head coach, Chris Houghton.

Countryman Songo claims that as the captain of the Ghanaian team, Ayew’s opinion was sought by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over the possible appointment of Chris Houghton and Akwasi Appiah.

In one of Countryman Songo’s recent shows, he alleged that Dede Ayew’s views on Chris Houghton which he expressed in confidence to the GFA President happens to be one of the major reasons why the newly appointed Black Stars coach decided to bench him in the first leg of the double header at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 23.
