Talented Black Stars striker, Antoine Semenyo has stated that his style of play is much inspired by former Sunderland attacker, Asamoah Gyan.

It could be recalled that Semenyo was Ghana’s hero man in the first leg encounter between the Black Stars and Palancras Negras of Angola in Kumasi.

The AFC Bournemouth striker surprised fans with a last minute tap in goal giving the Ghanaian team a slender 1-0 victory over Angola in Kumasi a few days ago.

Prior to Semenyo’s unanticipated winning goal, Ghana’s last goal against Angola was scored by Asamoah Gyan in 2010 when the Ghanaian team met Angola in quarter-finals of the AfCON tournament hosted by the latter that year.

Having scored against same opponents in a successive manner, Semenyo has stated that he has been a huge fan of the former Legon Cities attacker since his hay days in major competitions for Ghana.
