Over 1,000 Special Forces Deployed To Bawku After Deadly Attack On Immigration Officers

Information gathered by ghlatest.net indicates more than 1,000 Special Forces personnel, some of which includes police and soldiers have been deployed to Bawku in the Upper East region following an attack on three immigration officers, one of whom lost his life in an attempt to get food in front of a police station.

The Upper East regional Minister, Stephen Yakubu revealed that they are intensifying and government is helping them to bring in special forces to the region.

The forces are focused on increasing security level and providing assistance in the ongoing investigation into the attackers who remain at large.

According to him, somw of the forces have already arrived in Bawku and camps are being constructed to provide them with the needed accommodation.
