Women 35 Years And Above Are At High Risk Of Giving Birth To Babies With Down Syndrome – Ghanaian  Pediatrician Reveals

A pediatric physiotherapist identified as Yvonne Ewurama Osei has revealed that paternal or maternal age is one of the major variables that places a person at a higher risk of bringing forth children with down syndrome.

In a recent interview monitored by ghlatest, Mrs. Yvonne Ewurama Osei stated that studies have shown women over the age of 35 at high risk of giving birth to children with this condition.

Adding to this, she said this doesn’t any woman who is above the age of 35 has a greater probability of having infants suffering from down syndrome.

According to her, they can make reference to women in their 40s and 50s who have brought forth neuron typical kids who have no other issues.
