Meet Jesaja Herrmann: The 23-Year-Old Striker Who Represents Ghana’s Best Option To Replace Asamoah Gyan

The 37-year-old Ghanaian international is the all-time leading goalscorer of the Black Stars, with 51 goals after making 109 appearances.

Gyan has represented Ghana in seven African Nations Cup tournaments and three FIFA World Cup competitions.

Having scored six goals at the World Cup, he has been recognized as the top African goalscorer in the history of the World Cup and his record in the history of the apex football competition still remains unbroken.

After Asamoah Gyan’s international retirement in 2019, Ghana’s senior national team has struggled to get a perfect replacement to fit his talent and caliber.

Recently, the likes of Felix Afena-Gyan, Inaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo have all been roped to see if the team can get a replacement for Gyan but all efforts have proved futile.

Among a new wave of emerging talents with huge potential tipped to replace the legendary Ghanaian striker is Jesaja Herrmann.

Hermann was born to a Ghanaian father and a German mother and was raised in one of the most populous cities in Germany named SchleswigHolsten.

Possessing an appreciable height of massive braveness, Jesaja can hold his own alongside the toughest of centre-backs, but rather his physical stature, his abilities and Intelligent positioning gives the ease to outwit defenders in a twinkle of an eye.

Frankly divergent from wearing a resilient character, there is a bit of Asamoah Gyan in the way he moves and what he can do with the ball when given the opportunity.

In line with his spectacular attacking abilities, Jesaja Hermann believes he has all the requisite qualities any efficient Black Stars striker should possess and it is prayer Chris Houghton grants him the rare opportunity to prove his mettle.
