Some Universities Outside Ghana Teach Highlife Music – Ebo Taylor’s Son Reveals

Ghanaian singer, Roy X Taylor, who doubles as the son of legendary Ghanaian musician, Ebo Taylor has stated that some foreign universities in Austria teach highlife music, a genre known to have originated from Ghana.

According to the son of the legendary hilife singer, he was once assigned a role by a university in Austria to do a review on highlife which he was paid for.

In a recent interview monitored by ghlatest, the Saltpond-based music maker said there should be concerted efforts to push the popular Ghanaian genre (highlife) till it gains massive recognition.

Per his sentiments, we, as Ghanaians have to portray the high-life genre to the ‘whites’ to compel them to also learn from us like they are doing now in Austria.
