Just In: Liverpool To Miss 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League Tournament

Barring any unforeseen turnaround between now and the latter parts of the season, Liverpool won’t be participating in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Recognizably, it has been a season of struggle for the English club, with the occasional bright spot, and even Europa League qualification for the next term will have to be battled for effortlessly for if the EPL giants aren’t to have their first season without European football since 2016/2017.

In 2022 alone, in reaching the finals of the Champions League where they were beaten in Paris by Real Madrid, the club banked more than £100 million.

While they appear set to miss out on a seventh consecutive appearance in Europe’s most competitive knockout club competition next season, there is still hope that a summer of investment into a rebuild will allow them to overcome the difficulties of this year and be able to return the Champions League in 2024/2025.
