Expand Scouting Efforts To Lower Leagues – Sam Johnson To Chris Houghton

Former Ghanaian international, Sam Johnson has called on the newly appointed Black Stars, Chris Houghton to try as much as possible to expand his scouting efforts to the lower leagues.

Houghton, an Irish-born Ghanaian sportsman was appointed a few weeks ago to lead the senior national team of Ghana for a 21-month term, succeeding Otto Addo after resignation immediately after the 2022 World Cup.

During Houghton’s introductory session, he made a promise to attend more local league matches and has already been identified at several games already.

In light of this fact, Sam Johnson has come out to emphasize the need to scout for talent beyond the traditional footballing hubs of Accra and Kumasi.

Furthermore, he advised the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager to pay attention to young players from lesser-known clubs that are necessarily not performing well in Ghana.
