A video of former players of Ghana Black Stars vibing in a car as Sulley Muntari drive them has ignited nostalgic memories.

In the video was the driver Sulley Muntari, Derek Boateng in the front seat with Asamoah Gyan, John Paintsil and John Mensah at the back.

Typical of Asamoah Gyan, he was mocking Sulley Muntari as the others laughed.

Sulley Muntari maintained a serious face and called them ‘Useless People’.

These players have been friends for over 2 decades rising through the junior national teams of Ghana to the Black Stars level.

In 2001, Sulley Muntari, Derek Boateng, John Mensah and John Painstil were team members when Ghana Black Satellite won silver at the Argentina 2021 U20 FIFA World Cup.

Asamoah Gyan would join them at the U23 level for Athens Olympic Games in 2004.

They moved on to Ghana Black Stars and qualified the team to it first ever FIFA World Cup in 2006 at Germany and subsequent world cups.
