History was made in the month of April 2023 when a Black Queens player named Gifty Assifuah played his first international game in the recent international friendly between the Black Queens of Ghana and the Teranga Lioness of Senegal.

The appearance of Gifty Assifuah who managed to score a brace in the first leg of the double-header against Senegal at the Accra Sports Stadium made her a history maker after the Ghanaian team won 3-0 on home soil before moving Senegal to grab a 1-0 win.

Coincidentally, both Gifty and his brother, Ebenezer Assifuah made their debuts for the senior national team at the age of 22.

Gifty’s brother, Ebenezer Assifuah made debut for the Black Stars in the goalless drawn game between Ghana and Mozambique on March 27, 2016, in the 2017 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers at the age of 22.

Born on July 23, 2023, Gifty Assifuah also played in the Ghana versus Senegal match for the Black Queens before her 23rd birthday which indicates she was also 22 years when she made his debut for the senior national female team of Ghana.
