EPL: He Showed No Respect – Rio Ferdinand Slams Defender After United’s 2-2 Draw With Tottenham

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has stated that Tottenham’s backman, Eric Dier did not make Marcus Rashford respect him in anyway during the 2-2 draw in the Premier League on Thursday night.

Ferdinand noted that United Forward, Marcus Rashford had it quite easy with the Tottenham Defender.

Manchester United were already 2-0 up at halftime at the Tottenham Hotspurs stadium.

Jason Sancho’s seventh minute strike and Marcus Rashford’s 29th goal of the season put the English Premier League giants in front.

Tottenham Hotspurs returned to the second half stronger with Pedro Porro and Son Hueng-Min on the score sheet.

Meanwhile, Defender Dier was heavily criticised for Manchester City’s early goals for not squaring up to Rashford but giving the English attacker the opportunity to have his way.

In reaction to this, Rio Ferdinand said at no point did Eric Dier give Rashford time to think about what do with ball in order to get by the defender. In light of this disclosure, he stated that it was very easy and Rashford showed Dier was ruthless.
