Apple Music Chart, Now Like A Report Card For Nigerian Musicians – Zlatan Ibile

Iconic Nigerian hip-hop artist, Zlatan Ibile has stated that streaming giant, Apple Music chart has suddenly become similar to a report card for the country’s musicians.

He reiterated that most Nigerian musicians check the position of their songs on the charts of the popular music streaming platform before praying in the morning.

The “Zanku” hitmaker made this disclosure while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope.

According to Zlatan, musicians who weren’t taking their online presence seriously before have suddenly started looking into it.

Adding to this, he indicated that all of a sudden, Nigerian musicians have become extremely concerned about about their royalty payment generated from the platform more than how much money they will be getting from performing at shows.
