Osihmen In Tears As Napoli Fails To Win Scudetto

Napoli and Nigerian attacker, Victor Osimhen couldn’t hide his disappointment as he visibly shed tears as Napoli failed to clinch the Serie A title on Sunday, after a 33-year wait by teammates to win it for the club, following their 1-1 draw with Salernitana.

The players from Napoli had the opportunity to life this year’s Scudetto following Lazio’s 3-1 loss to Inter Milan, and things were initially looking good after a Mathias Olivera strike in the 62nd minute.

Unfortunately for the Nigerian and his teammates, Boulaye Dia had other ideas and scored an equalizer with less than ten minutes to go, forcing the two teams to share a point apiece at a deflated Stadio Diego Amando Maradona Stadium.

Whilst the draw doesn’t impact Napoli’s eventual Scudetto success, it does delay the party until next week at the earliest, something felt by Osihmen more than anyone else.
