EPL: Don’t Celebrate Carabao Cup Like Champions League – Ex-Coach Slams Manchester United

Rene Maulesteen, who worked as Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant for 12 years under the management of Manchester United has slammed the club for celebrating their Carabao Cup victory as if they won a Champions League trophy.

In a recent disclosure made by Rene, he criticised the team, insisting that a reputable club like Man U is not supposed to celebrate the Carabao Cup, talk more overdoing the whole celebration thing.

Erik Ten Hag’s team beat Newcastle earlier this season, back in February with goals from Marcus Rashford and Casemiro.

However, after that victory, the fire appears to have dropped down at Old Trafford, with talk of a quadruple evaporating.

In reaction to this fact, Maulesteen said there was just this constant focus, not getting carried away and that was to him a little bit of an issue after the Carabao Cup victory.
