King Promise Responds To Critics Who Claim He Is Undeserving of VGMA ‘Album Of The Year’ Award

This year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards “album of the year” category had some of the most music compilations namely, Black Sheriff’s “the villain I never was” and King Promise’s “5star” album, competing for much coveted award plaque.

In line with the buzz Black Sheriff’s singles got on the numerous media platforms, a lot of people thought he would be sweeping that particular award but Ghanaians and the VGMA board had different opinions.

Astonishingly but not that surprising, King Promise’s “5star” album beat Black Sheriff’s album at the just ended award ceremony and many wondered why it was so.

Soon after the award ceremony, reactions from top-class industry stakeholders some of which includes Zylofon FM’s Sammy Flex disclosed that they were highly disappointed Black Sheriff couldn’t win that particular award.

However, after weeks of criticism on social media, King Promise has finally decided to react to the castigations on this issue.

In a recent interview on UTV’s United Showbiz, the “CCTV” hitmaker said he does begrudge who feels he is undeserving of the award because that’s the person’s personal opinion.

Moving further, he reiterated that in the past, people were equally disappointed that he was unable to win a particular award so he see all the controversies to be a normal thing that happens each and every year after the award ceremony is concluded on.
