Just In: Ghana’s U-20 Women’s Team Aim For Host And Win As They Beat Burkina Faso In WAFU Semi-final Encounter



The U-20 women’s team of Ghana were in action today against Burkina Faso in a match which appeared to be anybody’s game till the dying minutes.

An early lead from the Burkinabe female left the Ghanaians in total dismay as they fought to equalize and double the tally prior to the second half of the game.

After the first forty-five minutes, the Ghanaians found themselves in front with two goals to their credit as Burkina Faso held on to their one goal cushion.

Deep into the second half, the Ghanaians were able to pull up a surprising goal leading them to get a third goal to seal the game.

The win indicates they are through to the finals of this year’s WAFU B tournament and will await either Nigeria or Benin for the final game which will be staged in Ghana.
