I Almost Died Playing For Black Stars – Joetex Frimpong



Former Enyimba striker and Ghanaian international, Joetex Asamoah-Frimpong has revealed how he nearly died playing for the Black Stars in the 2006 World Cup qualification match in Kumasi.

According to Joetex Frimpong, the incident happened during Ghana’s World Cup qualification fixture against Uganda.

He narrated that Micheal Essien made an intelligent pass to him and he just had the goalkeeper to beat in order to score for his team.

Adding to this, he indicated that he lofted the ball over the goalkeeper and jumped but a stamp from his foot landed in his lower ribs.
