No Local League Player Deserves Black Stars Call-up – Former Black Stars Striker Prince Tagoe Boldly States

Ex-black stars striker, Prince Tagoe has made a disclosure most local league players especially those aiming to play for the senior national team wouldn’t be happy about.

In a recent interview where he was sighted making reference to players like Abednego Tetteh who happens to be the Ghana Premier League leading goalscorer, he stated that neither the aforementioned player nor his colleagues in the local league deserve a Black Stars call-up.

According to Prince Tagoe, though he didn’t see any local league player in the recent squad named for the upcoming AfCON qualifiers against Madagascar, he feels it wasn’t a bad decision on the side of Chris Houghton because he feels players in the local league don’t match up with the criteria needed to be offered a Black Stars call-up.

Adding to this, Prince stated that if any player from the local league wants to be part of the senior national team them he should learn a lot and put in more efforts in regards to their tactical abilities.
