U-23 AFCON: Black Meteors To Camp In Egypt Ahead Of Tournament



Management Committee Chairman of the Black Meteors, Fredrick Acheampong has confirmed that the team will open camp in Egypt ahead of the 2023 African Cup Of Nations (AfCON) tournament later this month.

Ghana have been paired with host nation, Morroco as well as Guinea and Congo in Group A for the tournament that has been scheduled to kick off from June 25 to July 8, 2023.

Speaking to Graphic Sports, Mr. Frederick Acheampong disclosed that the team will fly out of the country to Egypt by the end of the week to continue with their preparation.

In line with this preparation, they intend to play some friendly games to keep them in shape ahead of the onset of the tournament.

Mr. Acheampong stated that the Black Meteors chose to camp in Egypt because they want to prepare themselves in a country that is participating in the tournament.
