U-23 AFCON: Mohammed Kudus Is Not Eligible To Play For Black Meteors – Frederick Acheampong

Chairman of the management committee of the national U-23 team of Ghana has confirmed that Ajax attacker, Mohammed Kudus is not eligible to play at the 2023 CAF U-23 African Cup Of Nations (AfCON) tournament.

The Black Meteors have been drawn in Group A alongside host Morroco, Guinea and Congo.

Acheampong acknowledged that the presence of some of the stars would be crucial and help booster their chances in the continental tournament that would see the finalist and winning semi-finalist teams qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Speaking to Graphic Sports, Kamaldeen Sulemana and Ernest Nuamah who happen to be part of the players currently playing for the senior national team would be needed at the U-23 side and added that they plan on working to ensure the junior team secured their services.
