The President of the Pan African Clergy Council, Bishop Dr. Fred Akakpo, has stated that the comments made by Archbishop Charles Agyinasare about the Nogokpo township could start a tribal or religious conflict.

Labelling the comments made by the Perez Chapel Head Pastor as “completely defamatory”, Bishop Akakpo stated that what Agyinasare said was an attack on Nogokpo community, and about its deities.

The Pan African Clergy Council President said if care is not taken, the Archbishop’s statement could erupt into a serious tribal conflict that could result in the loss of many lives.

Bishop Dr. Fred Akakpo went to state that the recent declaration by the Archbishop for a period of fasting and prayers is a sign of hypocrisy.
