The Black Meteors of Ghana will play the Pharoahs of Egypt in a high profile friendly match during their training in the opponent’s capital city, Cairo.

The oncoming international friendly will take place on Thursday, 15 June at the Alexandria stadium as both teams aim at using the friendly encounter as a preparation for the upcoming TotalEnergies U-23 African Cup Of Nations tournament that will be held in Morocco in a few weeks to come.

The U-23 Egyptian national team will be moving into the tournament as defending champions having won the last AfCON tournament five years ago.

The Pharoahs are paired with Mali, Gabon and Niger while the Black Meteors of Ghana are housed in Group B with hosts Morocco, Guinea and Congo.
